When you hear the word “innovate,” what is the first thing that pops into your mind?

Maybe a new piece of technology? Maybe your Rivian truck? Maybe it’s a product or service you’d like to launch?

The challenge is coming up with an idea or concept that you can manifest into a business, whether it is sold in an app store, embedded in a piece of software, or subscribed to online.

It’s cliché to say that ideas are a dime a dozen, but they truly are unless you can transform the idea into a new product or service that is needed and people are willing to use, and hopefully, pay for.

At Concepts Rise, we specialize in helping our clients devise an innovation strategy that articulates a vision and provides a roadmap from concept to creation to market. We work in lockstep with executives to formulate a plan that demonstrates how innovation will drive revenues, create value for existing and potential customers, as well as how to capture that value.

I will be hosting a live webinar on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at noon that takes you through the steps of an innovation strategy. Please stay tuned for an RSVP.

I’m a firm believer that companies need to innovate throughout a company’s lifecycle to grow revenues. This applies to both for-profit and non-profit organizations. I’ve been applying the same thinking to the work I do as board president of Triage Cancer, a non-profit that provides free education on the legal and practical issues of a cancer diagnosis to people suffering from the disease, their families, and caregivers.

In 2021, more than one million people were reached through our educational materials, our conferences, TriageCancer.orgCancerFinances.org, educational blogs, and newsletters. Additionally, in the last 10 years, we have educated more than 337,000 people through 1,500 online and in-person educational events held in all 50 states, D.C., and Guam.

This year we’re celebrating Triage’s 10th birthday by hosting a free, private magic show for children with cancer and their family members to attend at a participating pediatric facility. I’d like to invite you to sponsor a ticket for the event by visiting TriageCancer.org/BirthdayBash.

Additionally, if your company would like to show its support for the cancer community by sponsoring the event, please call or email me at 424-320-0524 or majid.abai@conceptsrise.com. Your company will receive acknowledgement of your participation before, during, and after the event, and enjoy other sponsorship benefits.

I’m humbled by Triage’s mission, and grateful for the staff and volunteers who make a tremendous impact on the lives of people suffering from cancer. As fall approaches and we think about innovating new products in the near future, please consider the following:

  • Innovate with the intention to improve the lives of others
  • Consider prioritizing innovative solutions that help people combat issues such as sickness, poverty, and hunger
  • Innovate to elevate your passion and fulfillment in the work you do

To your success,

Majid
